Entry requirements

Mateusz took the Nova Matura at school

Typical Christ's offers for applicants taking the Świadectwo Dojrzałości (Certificate of Maturity) / Nova Matura would ask you to achieve 95th percentile scores in up to two extended level subjects and an average of 90th percentile across all subjects taken.

If you are taking the Nova Matura, we advise you to contact us with information about your school curriculum and which state exams you are able to access so that we can advise you.

If you opt to take the International Baccalaureate, you would normally need to achieve 42 points overall (including bonus points), with 7,7,6 in Higher Level subjects. If you apply for a Cambridge course that requires Mathematics, IB students would need Higher Level Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches. There is a list of IB World Schools in Poland.

At Christ's we make adjusted offers to students from Poland holding a European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO) medal or a International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) medal. See the information about further achievements on our entrance requirements page.

Offers for Mathematics include STEP II and III. Further information about STEP and preparation support is available on the Maths page.

It will be important to take particular care to also ensure that you meet any specific subject requirements for your chosen course. These are set out on the subject pages.

Student profiles

Diana and Mati are both from Piaseczno. They have written detailed student profiles to share their experiences of applying and studying at Christ's with future students.

In the profiles, Diana and Mati explain what attracted them to their courses, the college system, how they found the application process, what they were looking forward to (and what they were worried about!) before they arrived in Cambridge, how the teaching works, the difference between her studying in Cambridge and studying at school in Poland, the best and the hardest things, what they do when they are not working, and what they do in the holidays.

"Everything about life and studying in England seemed a bit foreign at first, so I think it's important to ask if you don't understand something - even if it's just a pop culture reference. People are happy to help, so you shouldn't be embarrassed!"
