While the Working Library is intended for use by College members, other members of the University may, at the discretion of Library staff, consult its collections by prior appointment. Please email library@christs.cam.ac.uk for further information.
The Old Library's collections are available to members of the University and to other validated researchers by prior appointment between 9.15 a.m. and 4.15 p.m. on Mondays-Fridays. Please contact the College Librarian, John Wagstaff (djw210@cam.ac.uk, phone 01223 334950) for further details.
Applications to consult Old Library materials should wherever possible be made at least one week prior to the date of your proposed visit. Please provide us with details of the materials you wish to consult.
We often receive enquiries from individuals who are trying to find out more about former members of Christ's College. While we welcome such enquiries, we do advise enquirers first to read the document "How to find out about Cambridge Alumni/Alumnae", which can be accessed here. The website https://www.ancestry.co.uk/ is also popular with many researchers.
